Who is this Words Girl?

Words Girl was born from humble stock in England in 1977 and was given the name Zoë Fowler. As soon as she was born she wrote her own name on her identification wristband and has been writing ever since.

Her first work was published in the Cadbury’s Book of Children’s Poetry when she was just seven and still hadn’t learned how to spell big words. But by the time she graduated from Loughborough University with a 2:1 honours degree in Information & Publishing Studies, she was ready to play with the big boys.

In 2000, Words Girl moved to London, where she began her copywriting career. Several years on, she has worked with agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Young & Rubicam, EuroRSCG and M&C Saatchi. Her portfolio spans from direct marketing to online campaigns, press advertising to full brochure writing. Forever in search of new challenges, Words Girl put on her freelance boots in 2005 and jetted off to see what was out there.

Words Girl now lives in Brisbane, Australia, where she continues to pursue her copywriting career in a warmer climate.
